Datasets

Here we offer three datasets. The first dataset conforms to the newest version of the MPEG-DASH standard. The second dataset provides content encoded using Scalable Video Coding (SVC) and provides MPDs according to the newest version of the MPEG-DASH standard. The third dataset was created by Stefan Lederer and is still listed here for compatibility with the VLC Plugin.

PSNR values are includes for the Big Buck Bunny content.

Big Buck Bunny and Elephants Dream are also offered in a byte-range request based version.

Special thanks to the Red Bull Media House for providing us the Red Bull Playstreets video. Red Bull Media House owns all the rights of the Red Bull Playstreets content. Also special thanks to the team of Valkaama and to the producer Tim Baumann for providing us this content.

The SVC video is encoded at one baselayer with ~0,3 Mbps at 320×180, enhancement layer one with ~0,95 Mbps at 640×360 and enhancement layer two with ~2,7 Mbps at 1280×720. The segments are available as bitstream without container. Furthermore, the SSIM values are provided for each layer.
